SVU Announces New Membership Category for Retired and Permanently Disabled Members

At the May 31, 2006 Board of Directors Meeting in Philadelphia, the Board voted to implement a new membership category for Retired Members effective immediately. Permanently disabled members also may qualify for this new membership category. A $45 annual dues rate will apply to retired SVU members and will include access only to the JVU online version, but not the printed quarterly JVU magazine. Retired members are still eligible to vote in the annual election and qualify for other benefits of SVU membership. If interested, retired members can subscribe separately to the printed quarterly Journal for Vascular Ultrasound. To qualify for the $45 annual retired member rate, an SVU member must complete and submit initially an SVU Retired Member Affidavit, signed and stamped by a notary, stating the SVU member is retired and no longer employed either as an employee, consultant, or independent contractor; or permanently disabled.
