2006 Annual Conference Scholarships Presented to Six SVU Members

Thanks to a generous educational grant from Philips Ultrasound, SVU was able to present six $1,000 educational scholarships to six SVU members who submitted essays on why they would like to receive a scholarship from SVU and Philips to attend SVU’s 29th Annual Conference in Philadelphia, PA, June 1-3, 2006.

A total of 10 essays were submitted by SVU members. An ad hoc Annual Conference Scholarship Committee reviewed each of the essays and selected the following six SVU members to receive a $1,000 scholarship to attend the 2006 Annual Conference:

• Wendy Blaskowski – Eau Claire, WI
• Khoa Dam – Sacramento, CA
• Connie McCoy – Cincinnati, OH
• Laurie Patrick – Manhattan Beach, CA
• Vi Vuong – Sacramento, CA
• Samuel Yoders – North Ft. Myers, FL

Congratulations to the six recipients of educational scholarships to SVU’s 29th Annual Conference in Philadelphia. And thanks to Philips Ultrasound for their generous educational grant for these Annual Conference scholarships. We hope more SVU members will submit essays next year for educational scholarships to attend SVU’s 30th Anniversary Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD, June 7-9, 2007.
