New Twin Cities Vascular Society Chapter in Minnesota

We want to welcome the Twin Cities Vascular Society (TCVS) chapter in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, area to SVU. Their new officers are: President Jill Sandstrom, Secretary Sue Ellen Langhorne, and Treasurer Ellen Alvey. Congratulations to this team and we wish you luck on developing the chapter.

Discount Registration for Chapter Presidents to Attend 2006 SVU Annual Conference

All SVU Affiliated Chapter Presidents are invited to attend the 2006 SVU Annual Conference in Philadelphia , June 1-3, at a 50% discount of the Annual Conference registration fee. We encourage you to attend! We will be holding the annual Chapters/Membership joint meeting on Friday evening, June 2. This is a great forum to have your issues and suggestions addressed. It also is an excellent opportunity to meet with the Chapters committee, other SVU Board members and staff.

SVU Annual Silent Auction Underway

We also encourage all Affiliated Chapters to participate in the SVU Annual Conference Silent Auction. We are requesting that gift certificates be used in lieu of the actual item. This facilitates transfer of the item from donor to recipient. Funds raised through this endeavor will go to support SVU's ongoing Government Relations effort. Let us all do our part as local/regional chapters to help in this worthy cause.

Individual Chapter Award

Please send in your nominations for the SVU Individual Chapter Award. This award goes to an individual in your chapter who donates much time and effort to your chapter, and has an unending desire to see your chapter succeed. All Individual Chapter Award nominations should be sent by May 1 directly to Shelly Burns at burnss@summa-health.org .
