March 31 is Deadline for Essays for Six Scholarships for 2006 SVU Annual Conference in Philadelphia

Would you like to attend SVU’s 29th Annual Conference in Philadelphia, June 1-3, 2006, but cannot afford to go? Thanks to the generous educational grant from Philips Ultrasound, SVU is sponsoring a contest for six SVU members to each win a $1,000 scholarship to attend SVU’s Annual Conference at this year’s exciting Vascular Annual Meeting 2006 in Philadelphia! If you would like to participate, send by March 31, 2005 via e-mail to SVU (svuessay@svunet.org) an essay of 400 words or less explaining why SVU should award you one of these 2006 SVU Annual Conference scholarships.

Please include at the top of your essay your name, address, e-mail address, phone, job title, place of employment, number of years of SVU membership, and the reasons why you are unable to attend the 2006 SVU Annual Conference without a scholarship. A panel of SVU Fellows will review the submitted essays and select the six scholarship recipients. SVU will notify the scholarship recipients by May 1, so that you can make your discounted travel reservations to Philadelphia.

SVU is very grateful to Philips Ultrasound for this unrestricted $6,000 educational grant so that six deserving SVU members, who otherwise would be unable to attend the 2006 SVU Annual Conference, will have the opportunity to join us in Philadelphia, June1-3, 2006. Remember, the deadline for your Annual Conference scholarship essays is March 31, 2006.
