Five Scholarships Available for 2007 SVU Annual Conference in Baltimore

Would you like to attend SVU's 30th Anniversary Annual Conference in Baltimore, June 7-9, 2007, but cannot afford to go? Thanks to the generous educational grant from Philips Ultrasound, SVU is sponsoring an essay contest where five SVU members can each win a $1,000 scholarship from Philips to attend SVU's exciting 30th Anniversary Annual Conference at the 2007 Vascular Annual Meeting in Baltimore! If you would like to participate, please send an essay of 400 words or less explaining why SVU should award you one of these 2007 SVU Annual Conference scholarships, by March 30, 2007 via e-mail to SVU at svuessay@svunet.org.

You submission must include your full name, address, e-mail address, phone, job title, place of employment, number of years of SVU membership, and the reasons why you will be unable to attend the 2007 SVU Annual Conference without a scholarship. A panel of SVU Fellows will review the submitted essays and select the five annual conference scholarship recipients. SVU will notify the scholarship recipients by April 30, 2007 so that you can make your discounted travel reservations to Baltimore.

SVU is very grateful to Philips Ultrasound for providing again this unrestricted $5,000 educational grant so that five deserving SVU members, who otherwise would be unable to attend the 2007 SVU Annual Conference, will have the opportunity to join us in Baltimore, June 7-9, 2007. Remember, the deadline for your Annual Conference scholarship essay to be sent to SVU by email is March 30, 2007.
