5th Edition of SVU Glossary of Terms Handbook Now Available

The SVU Products Committee is pleased to announce that the 5th Edition of SVU’s very popular Glossary of Terms handbook, featuring the terminology for the vascular ultrasound technologist/sonographer, is now available both “free” online for Members as a benefit of membership and for sale as a printed, compact handbook.

This new edition of the Glossary of Terms handbook includes a section on key prefixes and suffixes used in the profession, and also a new five-page section on key acronyms used in the vascular ultrasound profession. Did you ever wonder what CMS means? With this new handbook, you will know that it means the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Two versions available

SVU members can access the online version of the Glossary of Terms handbook for “free” on the Members’ Only page of the SVU website (www.svunet.org) and download a file of the handbook, which then can be printed on your laser printer.

However, for those members and non-members who would like to purchase the printed, compact, and easy-to-use 86-page glossy version of the Glossary of Terms, 5th Edition, they can do so by accessing the handbook’s order form also on the website at www.svunet.org/publications/books.htm. Members receive a discounted price for the new 5th Edition Glossary. SVU also is offering a volume discount for those members and non-members who would like to order a number of copies of the printed handbook for all of the vascular technologists/sonographers in their lab. This is the type of handy reference handbook that everyone will want to have, so order multiple copies.
