February 1, 2007 is Abstract Deadline for SVU 30th Anniversary Annual Conference

In 2007, SVU will hold its fourth joint annual meeting in a row with the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) and other ultrasound societies. The 2007 Vascular Annual Meeting, including an extensive exhibition and SVU’s 30th Anniversary Annual Conference, will take place June 7-10, 2007 in Baltimore, MD, at the Baltimore Convention Center.

The SVU 2007 Annual Conference Program Committee and Abstracts Committee invite you to submit an original abstract for oral and poster presentations at SVU’s 30th Anniversary Annual Conference, June 7-9, 2007, in Baltimore. Abstracts are due to SVU by February 1, 2007. Accepted Manuscripts are due to SVU by April 2, 2007! Only accepted abstracts that meet the abstract and manuscript deadlines will be considered for SVU Scientific Awards presented in Baltimore. Don’t miss this outstanding opportunity to contribute to the vascular profession and be recognized at one of the largest meetings of vascular ultrasound professionals.

As an added bonus, if your abstract is submitted to the SVU national office by the February 1, 2007 deadline and is accepted by the Abstracts Committee for an oral presentation in Baltimore, you will receive a $100 discount off the SVU 2007 Annual Conference registration fee. Check out the SVU website at http://www.svunet.org/events/annual/index.htm for 2007 Call for Papers rules and guidelines. Don’t delay -- submit your abstract now for consideration for the 2007 SVU 30th Anniversary Annual Conference in Baltimore.

Vascular ultrasound students are urged to submit a poster presentation abstract for award consideration by the February 1, 2007 deadline. If students need help on writing their abstract, please contact SVU and an experienced author or member of the Abstracts Committee will be assigned to help you and answer any questions you may have on submitting an abstract. For more information on how to write an abstract, see the article by Ann Marie Kupinski, PhD RVT FSVU, in the “Tools of the Trade” area of the Members’ Only section of the SVU website (www.svunet.org).

Don’t forget, the deadline for Abstracts for SVU’s 2007 Annual Conference is February 1, 2007.
