October 2006 | Vol. 24, No. 10 Anne Jones Scholarship Fund and 2007 Scholarship Selection ProcessThe Anne Jones Scholarship Fund of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) was established in 2006 to provide an annual educational scholarship for an ultrasound student of up to $2,500. The scholarship honors the many contributions made to SVU and the vascular technology profession by Anne Jones, former SVU President and former Chair of SVU's Government Relations Committee. The purpose of the Anne Jones Scholarship is to provide a qualified student applicant with a monetary amount to further his/her education in vascular ultrasound and pursue a career in the vascular ultrasound profession. SVU members are urged to help support this annual scholarship by making an optional voluntary contribution to the Anne Jones Scholarship Fund with their SVU dues renewal payments. In 2006, there were co-recipients of the first Anne Jones Scholarship: Alison Beam of Kettering College of Medical Arts, Kettering, Ohio; and Jenavi Iida of Oregon Institute of Technology, Klamath Falls, Oregon.
