October 2005 | Vol. 23, No. 10 Chapter NewsBy Shelly Burns, RVT LPN Upcoming Affiliated Chapter MeetingsThe Annual Fall Meeting of the North Jersey Vascular Association (NJVA) will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. Seven distinguished speakers will make presentations on a variety of topics ranging from access complications to nutritional aspects of vascular disease. Information has been sent out to the NJVA Chapter members as well as SVU members in NJ. The Suncoast Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SSVU) will hold its 5th Regional Conference on Saturday, October 22, 2005, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, FL. The Annual Fall Symposium for the Northern Ohio Vascular Association (NOVA) will be held at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio, on Saturday, November 19, 2005. Possible New Affiliated ChaptersDonna Kocher-Burns will be the President for a new affiliated chapter starting up in West Virginia. It will be known as the Ohio Valley Vascular Association (OVVA). A CME meeting in February 2006 in Wheeling, WV, is being planned with SVU Board Director Billy Zang, the Technical Director at the Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey, PA, as speaker. He is located in East Central Missouri about 60 miles south of St. Louis. He is a RDMS and has been doing vascular, general, and ob/GYN for almost 25 years.
