Interested in Writing an Article for JVU?

Barbara Rhodes, editor of SVU’s Journal for Vascular Ultrasound (JVU), is constantly looking for a few good authors for this highly respected quarterly peer-reviewed journal. This is an excellent opportunity for you to be published in a highly respected vascular ultrasound publication, and then you can add the article’s publication to your C.V.

There are several editorial categories from which to choose:

  1. Scientific articles which consist of original scientific research that has not been previously published in another publication.
  2. Case Study, which consists of a short article concerning one or two patients with an unusual anatomical finding, disease or treatment.
  3. Education articles also may be submitted. These articles range in topic from diagnostic techniques to rare vascular pathology and new diagnostic equipment.
  4. Doppler Digest is the newest category and is a great one for new authors “to get their feet wet”. This category consists of a brief patient history, diagnostic finding (including one or two figures) and result. The report should be of interest for the rarity of the finding or the unusual treatment. Keep in mind that something you may see quite often may be a rarity for other vascular technologists.

Don’t worry if you haven’t submitted an article before, the JVU editorial reviewers and Barbara will help you along. Please submit your contributions, following the guidelines found on the Information for Authors page in the back of any issue of the Journal, to the Journal’s editorial office at the following address:
