August 2005 | Vol. 23, No. 8 Thanks to SVU Members for Letters Sent to Congress on Preserving Patient Access to Physicians Act of 2005SVU has been closely monitoring the ongoing controversy regarding payment for noninvasive vascular testing under Medicare’s Physician Fee Schedule and last month in the July e-Spectrum newsletter SVU encouraged its members to make their voices heard in this important dialogue. We asked our members to send a provided sample letter to their Members of Congress (a U.S. Representative and two U.S. Senators) to urge them to co-sponsor two important bills called “Preserving Patient Access to Physicians Act of 2005” – H.R. 2356 or S. 1081. We would like to thank the SVU members who sent letters on these bills to their Members of Congress and informed SVU of that. Thank you, we sincerely appreciate your support of our Government Relations effort. If you have not yet sent in your letters and would like to do so, there is still time to send in your letters as Congress in on summer District Work Period until after the Labor Day Holiday. See the July e-Spectrum newsletter on the SVU website for details. Thanks.
