August 2005 | Vol. 23, No. 8 Important Decision at ARDMS That Affects RVT Re-ApplicantsIn the past, ARDMS re-applicants needed to submit a letter to ARDMS documenting clinical experience relevant to the applied-for specialty area, and also needed to submit a clinical verification (CV) form which demonstrates relevant clinical skills in the applied-for specialty. The ARDMS Board of Directors, based on the recommendation of the ARDMS Certification Committee and after due deliberation, recently came to the conclusion that requiring both documents provides redundant information and operational processing. Therefore, the decision was made that ARDMS re-applicants will no longer have to provide a letter documenting clinical experience relevant to the applied-for specialty area. The CV form is the only document of verification needed. For further information, go to the ARDMS website at www.ardms.org or call ARDMS toll free at 800-541-9754. |
