Hotel Reservations

Unfortunately, the room block at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel for the Vascular Annual Meeting 2005, including SVU’s 28th Annual Meeting, is already sold out. This hotel situation was beyond SVU’s control as the hotel contract was not negotiated by SVU and not enough hotel rooms were reserved for the VAM 2005 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel. SVU sincerely regrets this unfortunate hotel situation. Compounding this situation at the Hyatt is that there is a major city wide conference of 35,000 Rotarians and most of the hotels in downtown Chicago are either sold out also or whatever rooms that are available in small numbers are very expensive.

However, SVU has obtained a block of 150 rooms at the Marriott Chicago O’Hare hotel at $159/night plus tax, and a block of 50 additional rooms at the Chicago Marriott Suites O’Hare hotel at $169/night plus tax.

To make a room reservation, please contact the hotel directly and tell them you want to make a reservation there under the SVU room block.

Marriott Chicago O’Hare (website)
8535 West Huggins Road
Reservations: 1-800-228-9290 or 773-693-4444

Chicago Marriott Suites O’Hare (website)
6155 North River Road
Reservations: 1-800-228-9290 or 847-696-4400

SVU will provide complimentary ground transportation each morning from both Marriott O’Hare hotels to the Hyatt Regency Chicago downtown and each afternoon at the end of the SVU AC program from the Hyatt Regency Chicago to both Marriott O’Hare hotels. There also is a Chicago EL (elevated) train station one block from the Marriott Chicago O’Hare (in their parking lot) and there is direct train service from there to downtown Chicago for $1.75 each way.

Both Marriott O’Hare hotels provide FREE shuttle transfer via Marriott vans from Chicago O’Hare Airport to both Marriott O’Hare hotels. Thus, by staying at either of the two Marriott O’Hare hotels you can save the $25-$30 cost to take a taxi to the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
