SVU Affiliated Chapter Presidents will be receiving a letter from SVU Executive Director Steve Haracznak stating some new initiatives SVU is undertaking to assist the chapters with CME program applications and fees, CME certificates, chapter meeting notices, and communication with other chapters all via the web. Chapters can assist with this by maintaining up to date contact information for the Affiliated Chapter Registry with an e-mail address. All chapter contact information changes should be sent to svuinfo@svunet.org. Keep yourself informed by keeping us informed.

To allow SVU to assist you in sending out your meeting notices via broadcast e-mail as a benefit of chapter membership, they will need e-mail addresses for all of your members. This is something you can begin to work on now before your next meeting.

To assist you in recruiting new members, there is a SVU PowerPoint presentation available on the SVU Affiliated Chapter’s page on the SVU website. You can download this document and use it for your meetings. Please take the time to show this to your groups to help them understand all that SVU does for us in the vascular profession.

In the works:

• a letter has been developed by Jean Alessi, the Northeast Regional Advisor, to welcome and invite new RVTs to join a local chapter. We will let you know when it will be available once we have the process complete.
• Regional Advisor recruitment- once this is in place we will contact your chapter and introduce ourselves!
• Matching student chapters with seasoned local chapters
• Developing guidelines for Chapter Presidents
