Recent Government Relations Fund Contributors Honored

Rita Shugart, former SVU Secretary and Board Director from Greensboro, NC, recently made a $100 contribution to SVU’s Government Relations Fund in the name of Annette Carter and SVU member Dr. Mark Moskowitz of Carolina Surgery in Gastonia, NC. The contribution was made by Rita to thank them for their generous assistance to SVU during the 2003 SVU Annual Conference in Charlotte, NC.

Special thanks also to the 338 SVU members who each made an optional voluntary contribution of $20 to SVU’s Government Relations Fund when paying their 2004 member dues. Your tremendous voluntary contributions to SVU totaling more than $11,000 is sincerely appreciated as it will help SVU pay its ongoing government relations advocacy effort expenses in 2004.

In addition, the following eight SVU Affiliated chapters recently made contributions to the SVU Government Relations Fund totaling more than $7,667:

• Central Virginia Vascular Technologists Chapter ($1,500)
• Delta Region Vascular Technologists ($1,017.95) (now inactive)
• Kentucky Vascular Society ($700)
• North Carolina Vascular Technologists ($1,000)
• Northern Ohio Vascular Association ($1,000)
• Northeastern Pennsylvania Vascular Chapter ($250)
• Red River Valley Vascular Society ($200)
• Suncoast Society of Vascular Technology ($2,000)

This is tremendous financial support of SVU’s Government Relations advocacy effort by SVU’s Affiliated Chapters. Thank You!

In addition, a total of 77 SVU members also made voluntary contributions of more than $2,000 to SVU’s Operations Fund when paying their 2004 member dues.
