New SVU Membership Category Offered for Retired and Disabled Members

At the May 31, 2006 SVU Board of Directors Meeting in Philadelphia, the Board voted unanimously to implement a new membership category for Retired Members and Permanently Disabled Members, effective immediately.

A $45 annual dues rate will apply to retired/disabled SVU members and will include access only to the JVU online version, but not the printed quarterly JVU magazine. Retired/disabled members are still eligible to vote in the annual election and qualify for other benefits of SVU membership. If interested, retired/disabled members can subscribe separately to the printed quarterly Journal for Vascular Ultrasound.

To qualify for the $45 annual retired/disabled member rate, an SVU member must complete and submit a SVU Retired/Disabled Member Affidavit, signed and stamped by a notary, stating the SVU member is retired and no longer employed either as an employee, consultant, or independent contractor; or permanently disabled.
