LANHAM, MD, June 1, 2009 -- The Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) awarded the 2009 Distinguished Service Award at its Annual Conference, June 11-13, 2009, in Denver, CO. The Distinguished Service Award was established in 1987 and recognizes meritorious service by any SVU member.

Barbara A. Rhodes, BA RVT FASA FSVU of Klamath Falls, OR, received this award for her outstanding service to SVU as Editor of the Journal for Vascular Ultrasound for 12 years.
