| LANHAM, MD, June 26, 2006 - The Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU), in partnership with the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) and Pegasus Lectures, Inc., will hold a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) Exam Review Course at the Marriott Dallas/Fort Worth Airport North Hotel in Irving, TX, September 22-24, 2006. This SVU 2½-day advanced Course is an in-depth review for physicians planning to sit for the new American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) Certification Exam, which ARDMS started offering in January 2006. Physicians passing the ARDMS exam will receive the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) credential from ARDMS. This course will focus on reviewing the required vascular physics and interpretation skills as specified by the exam content outline, including case-based test question simulation. Upon completion of this course, attendees should be prepared to demonstrate improved interpretation skills for various noninvasive tests: abdominal, arterial, venous, and carotid. Attendees should also be able to formulate a better understanding of ultrasound physics concepts and their application to the field of vascular diagnostics. The course faculty consists of physicians, vascular technologists and a physicist, all experts in the field of vascular ultrasound. By attending you can earn up to 19.00 Category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award or 19.00 SVU-Continuing Medical Education (SVU-CME) credit hours to fulfill your continuing education requirements.
