LANHAM, MD, June 14, 2006 -- The Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) announces two poster awards presented at SVU's 29th Annual Conference, June 1-3, 2006 in Philadelphia, PA. Jenilee B. Thornton, Karmody Vascular Lab, The Vascular Group, Albany, NY, was presented with two poster awards. Both the Excellence in a Scientific Poster Presentation Award and the Best Student Poster Presentation Award were given to her for her poster on "Anatomic Distribution of the Carotid Bulb as Determined by Duplex Ultrasound." Both these awards were sponsored by DataStar Systems, Inc. of Crystal Lake, IL. SVU encourages all Vascular Ultrasound Students to submit abstracts for both oral and poster presentations at its 2007 Annual Conference in Baltimore. Congratulations to Jenilee B.
