| LANHAM, MD, May 12, 2006 - The Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) recently awarded $1,000 education scholarships to six SVU members to attend the 2006 SVU Annual Conference in Philadelphia, June 1-3, thanks to an educational grant from Philips Ultrasound, Bothell, WA. The $1,000 educational scholarships were awarded to the following six SVU members:
SVU members participating in the annual conference scholarship competition had to submit an essay of 400 words or less explaining why SVU should award them an educational scholarship to SVU's 2006 Annual Conference. "SVU is very grateful to Philips Ultrasound for their unrestricted educational grant so that six deserving SVU members will be able to attend the 2006 SVU Annual Conference," said SVU Executive Director Steve Haracznak "This is the second year in a row that Philips Ultrasound has provided an educational grant for the Annual Conference scholarships." |
