| LANHAM, MD, December 14, 2005 –The Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) announces its 2006 Education Program Schedule. In 2006, the Society is offering both an Introductory and an Advanced Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation Course as well as its 29th Annual Conference at the Vascular Annual Meeting 2006. SVU will also present two Registered Physicians in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) Review Courses in 2006, co-sponsored with the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), with dates and locations to be announced in the future. “Since our 2005 educational programs were very well received, we believe our SVU members and the ultrasound community will also be pleased with the quality continuing education courses to be offered by SVU in 2006,” said SVU Executive Director Steve Haracznak. SVU selects experts in the field of vascular ultrasound to lead SVU’s valuable courses and provide vascular technologists and physicians the opportunity to fulfill the continuing medical education (CME) requirements necessary to retain their credentials as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS). The courses also enable physicians the opportunity to earn Category 1 credit hours towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Local vendors exhibit their equipment and educational material at each course. Detailed information and registration for each of the SVU education programs scheduled for 2006 will be found on SVU’s web site at www.svunet.org. 2006 SVU Educational Program Schedule
