SVU Now Accepting Abstracts for its 2006 Annual Conference

LANHAM, MD, August 25, 2005 – Abstract submissions for the 2006 Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) Annual Conference are now being accepted online at www.svunet.org. The conference will be June 1-3, 2006 in Philadelphia, PA. Don’t miss this opportunity to present your research and findings to a diverse gathering of vascular technology professionals, vascular surgeons, vascular nurses and industry representatives dedicated to vascular disease and its diagnosis and treatment.

All Abstracts must be submitted electronically by November 21, 2005 at www.svunet.org or by email to abstracts@svunet.org.

Abstracts must be original and not previously presented or published. All abstracts must be submitted following the guidelines described in SVU’s Call for Papers brochure which can be found on the SVU website. Abstracts not in the correct format will not be accepted. No mailed or faxed abstracts will be accepted.

BONUS: If your abstract is submitted by the November 21st deadline and is accepted for oral presentation, you will receive $100 discount off the 2006 SVU Annual Conference registration fee.

Submitted abstracts that meet the abstract and manuscript deadline dates will be considered for the following SVU awards:

  • D.E. Strandness, MD, Scientific Award
  • Dr. Alex Chao, MD, Young Investigators Award
  • Excellence in Oral Clinical Presentation Award
  • Excellence in Scientific Poster Presentation Award
  • Excellence in Case Study Poster Presentation Award
  • First-Time Presenters Award for SVU Members
  • Best Student Oral Presentation Award
  • Best Student Poster Presentation Awards
