Calculate Your 2005 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Reimbursement

To calculate the proposed rate for your area, open the spreadsheet (you will need Microsoft Excel). Go to "Sheet 2 and cut the Geographic Practice Cost Indices (GPCI) values, "Work", "Practice Expense" and "Malpractice", FOR YOUR REGION and then paste those values into the appropriate lines on the worksheet and voila' - your proposed reimbursement.

These payment calculators are included on the SVU website Members' Only page as a service to SVU members for planning purposes ONLY. The final 2005 reimbursement values should be obtained from your local Medicare carrier website when they are posted, usually in November. The new Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement rates are to go into effect January 1, 2005.
