Voting is Now Open to All SVU Members for the 2008 SVU Annual Election

Recently SVU sent to each member by mail the 2008 SVU Annual Election Candidate Profiles and Absentee Ballot.

Based on the recommendations of the 2008 Nominations Subcommittee, the SVU Board Directors approved six candidates for three open Board Director Positions for a three-year term (2009-2011). All of these positions will be effective January 1, 2009.

  • Vicki M. Gatz, RVT
  • Megan Hodge, BS RN RVT
  • Kari A. Olmsted, BS RVT
  • David Parlato, BA RVT

There are three ways to cast your 2008 Annual Election Ballot:
  1. Voting by Official SVU Absentee Ballot
    For those who cannot be in San Diego, or who will be there but would just prefer to vote in advance by absentee ballot, please send the ballot you received in the mail to the SVU address below, or fax (301-459-5651) your ballot to the National Office by Monday May 23, 2008.

  2. Voting On-line
    If you would prefer to vote in advance by our online absentee ballot, go to the 2008 SVU Election Official Absentee Ballot on the Members Only Website page. The deadline for the Absentee Ballots to be received at the SVU National Office is Monday May 23, 2008.
  3. On-site Voting in San Diego
    On-site voting will take place in SVU Booth #104 in Exhibit Hall A at the San Diego Convention Center on Thursday and Friday. You will have the opportunity to meet the candidates on Thursday morning, June 6 at the General Session. You cannot vote in San Diego if you voted previously by absentee ballot. The 2008 Annual Election Results will be announced on Saturday afternoon, June 7, 2008.

The deadline for all Absentee Ballots to be received at the SVU National Office is Friday, May 23, 2008.
