All SVU members should have received in the mail in November your 2008 SVU dues renewal invoice, along with a cover letter and a summary of SVU’s regulatory and legislative advocacy activities in 2007 on behalf of the vascular ultrasound profession. If you did not get your 2008 dues invoice mailing, please contact the SVU office at 1-800-788-8346 as we may not have your current mail address. We urge you to renew your SVU membership by the end of January 2008 or earlier if possible.
The Executive Committee of the SVU Board of Directors decided not to increase the member dues renewal rate for 2008—it will stay at $110/year! This is the 5th year in a row at that rate, allowing SVU members to continue to receive all of the valuable benefits of membership in 2008 at no additional cost. This was a difficult decision to make, especially in light of rising costs for SVU almost across the Board, but the Executive Committee felt that raising dues after the first year of the DRA reimbursement cuts for many vascular exams was not the right thing to do.
