Everything I Know about Vascular Disease I Learned From a Children’s Book
Speaker: Thom Rooke, MD
(Separate fee required)
(Sponsored by ARDMS)

Topic Description: Medical case presentations are a lot like children's books. Dr. Rooke will describe how both are traditional vehicles for educating and entertaining their respective audiences. Both teach important lessons about life (and sometimes death). Most importantly, both must be appropriate for an audience that has a short attention span, or is cranky, or is falling asleep. This presentation will take several vascular case presentations and show how the lessons learned from each are also taught in a typical children's book.
