March 24th is Deadline for Submission of Essays for Five Annual Conference Scholarships

Would you like to attend SVU’s 2008 Annual Conference in San Diego, CA, June 5-7, but cannot afford to go? Thanks to a generous educational grant from Philips Ultrasound, SVU is sponsoring an essay contest where five SVU members can each win a $1,000 scholarship to attend SVU’s exciting 2008 Annual Conference at the 2008 Vascular Annual Meeting in San Diego! If you would like to participate, please send an essay of 400 words or less explaining why SVU should award you one of these 2008 SVU Annual Conference scholarships, by March 24, 2008 via e-mail to SVU (svuessay@svunet.org).

Your submitted essay must include your full name, address, e-mail address, phone, job title, place of employment, number of years of SVU membership, and the reasons why you would be unable to attend the 2008 SVU Annual Conference without a scholarship. A panel of SVU Fellows will review the submitted essays and select the five annual conference scholarship recipients. SVU will notify the scholarship recipients by April 30, 2008 so that you can make your discounted travel reservations to San Diego.

SVU is very grateful to Philips Ultrasound for again providing this unrestricted $5,000 educational grant so that five deserving SVU members, who otherwise would be unable to attend the 2008 SVU Annual Conference, will have the opportunity to join us in San Diego, June 5-7, 2008. Remember, the deadline for your 2008 Annual Conference scholarship essay to be sent to SVU by email is March 24, 2008.
